On May 10, 2021, Montana Governor Greg Gianforte signed into law SB 114 which increased Montana's homestead exemption from $250,000.00 to $350,000.00.  Also included in the bill, Montana's homestead exemption will now increase automatically at a 4% annual rate after 2021 giving Montanans an increasing annual exemption in their homes without further action by the legislature.
